An acoustic bass guitar hangs on my office wall. I play and sing in a trio band locally and nationally. My skills and experience can help musicians communicate with each other and reach creative goals with fewer rifts and hurt feelings.
Being in a band is like being in a marriage or family – you are not just friends or co-workers. With the joys come challenges that can split a band before they reach their full potential. I use many therapeutic and coaching skills and use my own experience of being in a band for the last 9 years. I work with band members in long blocks of time – up to six hours. There is an educational component, communication practice with goals of learning skills for negotiating to compromise to increase creativity and reduce stress.
Band Fee: We can discuss flexible hours and rates further, but one option is a long weekend similar to the couples plan – $1000 for up to 6 hours (not including lunch break), with three follow-up appointments of 50 minutes within the following six months. These follow-up appointments can be accomplished via phone or video conferencing, when distance is an issue.
Of interest…our band, The Scarlet Verbs, does keynotes for conferences. We call it Stress: The Musical. You can see us in action and find out more at Dan Wold’s consulting website. You can also find The Scarlet Verbs on FaceBook.
