Thinking on one thing
So if multi-tasking really is nearly impossible for most of us, why do we try so hard to get so much done in so little time, why does it seem like a multitude of random thoughts are pestering us when we just want a bit of peace? Why am I trying to watch re-runs of the Office while writing this blog? The brain research tells me that I really can shut all that random stuff down and go into my happy place or become intensely aware of everything around me in the present moment.
Improve Each Moment
I love that quote and its double meaning. Every moment there is a choice to take an action, place my intention upon the world and perhaps give another a lift or even a good time. In another moment, and just the other day, I can empty my thought of anything except for what surrounds me and let the world impact me with all of its wonder. In the process, I do know I am improving as an individual, a a team member, as a therapist, small step by small step. Here is a picture of the office front porch blooming with spring flowers, where I spent some moments in the fresh warm air.
